Dogs
The principle of vaccination is stimulate the body’s defences and provide immunity against diseases. For dogs we vaccinate against the following – Distemper, Canine Infectious Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza and Leptospirosis.
We vaccinate puppies from 8 weeks of age for their first vaccination and the second vaccination two weeks later. Puppies must be kept isolated from other dogs and places where other dogs go eg the park,the street.
Cats
For cats we vaccinate against Feline Infectious Enteritis, Feline Influenza, and Feline Leukaemia Virus
We vaccinate kittens from 9 weeks of age for their first vaccination and the second vaccination three weeks later.
ANNUAL BOOSTERS ARE REQUIRED FOR BOTH DOGS AND CATS
Rabbits
We vaccinate against the following infectious diseases for rabbits:
Myxomatosis and Viral Haemorrhagic Disease (VHD)
Rabbits are vaccinated from 6 weeks of age and booster vaccination is required annually to maintain immunity.
The vaccine we offer protects against both myxomatosis and VHD so only 1 injection is required annually.
